WILD ALASKAN CHAGA CHUNKS
Harvested in Winter from clean Birch Forests in the Matanuska Valley
My husband joyously spent the better half of winter up a ladder in a birch tree harvesting the most pristine and medicinal chaga mushrooms he could find. We sell most of our chaga locally at farmers markets but we have a stash for the Etsy community. Our Chaga is harvested with so much love and dried completely for maximum shelf life.
Chaga chunks can be broken down with a hammer inside of a bag into smaller chunks. A small chunk can be placed in water to simmer on the stove for 15 minutes or so - Chaga tea is then ready to drink. Chaga chunk can be utilized for multiple servings of tea. We love our chaga tea with milk and honey - like a latte. We recommend limiting servings per day as chaga is a very strong antioxidant - we don't drink more than 2 cups per day, however limits vary per person.

Chaga, also known as Inonotus obliquus, is a type of mushroom that grows on the bark of birch trees in cold climates. We harvest our Chaga during the winter months here in Palmer, Alaska and have so much fun doing it!
